Eraserheads Reunion Concert 083008... the best ever

last night, i was in heaven... my super favorite band is together again... it was so special coz it was also my first time to watch an eraserhead concert... i am a fan, a huge fan ever-since but back then i'm still at my high school ... obviously aside from the fact that i was in the province, well i couldn't afford to buy or attend concerts... so i usually listen na lang ng kanilang tapes... most of it was borrowed pa from my cousin claire... i have to save money from my 20pesos allowance just to buy album of the fab four ely, raimund, markus and buddy... well their songs live within me... i missed them... i miss when things are not complicated... i miss their music... sarap lang magmuni muni... kc naman when you grow older, madami na dapat gawin... ganito, ganyan at kung anu ano pa... i just miss the feeling na marinig mo lang cla... lahat ok na.. kaya when i heard na may reunion concert, naisip ko.. di ko to papalagpasin... ngaun pa, am here at may pambili nman ng ticket diba.. i wanna be a part of a history nman kahit once...

last night was a history! i had a blast grabe... i watch other concert din nman (now that i can afford na din kahit pano).. pero kagabi.. iba.. sobrang di ko maexpress ung feeling... sobrang saya! sa first song pa lang kinikilabutan na ako...usually sa concerts that i've been to i was like just listening to the music but last night.. i was in awe... i just sing my heart out... sarap pla ng feeling ng you dont even care kung wla ka sa tono basta mahalaga you're enjoying the ride... well the first set was 15 song... according kay raimund, they prepared 3 sets at warm up pa lang ung first...read philmusic.com (thanks to carmi a new found friend na tagalista ng mga kanta) here are the list:

then there it was.. after the last song, i saw ely holding his head while sitting down at the stage.. kala ko nman may kinuha lang then the announcement of a 20 minute break... so okay...sabagay.. sakit ng rin ng lalamunan ko... kakabilib imagine from the start walang humpay ang kantahan nga naman.. kahit cno mapapagod... naisip ko.. buti na rin... pahinga muna.. kakapagod ha..hehe pero natapos ang 20 minutes.. hmmmm but it never occured to me na the concert might cut short... basta ako hoping pa din cyempre... then maya maya lumabas na ung tatlo (markus, raimund at buddy) shocks, ba't wala c ely... they introduce themselves and gave the floor to Lally (ely's sister)... informing everybody that ely's was rushed to hospital because of his poor health due to physical and emotional stress that he's into... dun pa lang... i understood... i also lost a father, i know how it feel... i admire him kc tinuloy pa rin nila ung concert... para sa atin... and for that i acknowledge and thank them... walang hanggang pasasalamat... and i also admire all the people who was there... there was no commotion, no shouting and no hissing or whatsoever from the audience as we left the venue... kakaiyak when everybody prayed for ely...

ngaun if you would ask me if its worth it... yes! it might be 15songs... but those were the songs that was so dear to me.. bitin? yes, but you know malay natin diba... may part 2... kung wala, okay na rin... e-heads won't need to prove themselves... kaya nga e-heads na cla eh... pinasaya na nila tayo noon... pinasaya ulit nila tayo kagabi.. what more can you ask for? basta ako... i had fun... good thing.. stable na po c ely... sa dami ba nmang nagdasal diba...

we went to fiesta casino again last friday with joy and ria... too bad wla c clau (wla akong ksamang manood sa mga taong nagwawaldas ng kayamanan nila)... nagbantay sa hospital kay randel...anyway, at least nagkita-kita kmi...so it's true, stress buster ang friends... i am soo exhausted na... til next adventure

Repertory Philippines Disney's 'MULAN Jr.'

Last August 8, 2008 was the preview of the Repertory Philippines Children's Theatre "Disney's Mulan Jr."... i was so happy being invited by my former bosses from prime orienteer... it was so nice to be back to onstage once again... brings back all the good memories....

It was year 2002 when i became a guide of prime orienteer, in which i enjoyed the perks of traveling, watching latest plays, visiting a lot of amusing museums, amusement parks and a lot more venues for free! and what's great about it, is you're getting paid to do it... hahaha

anyway, since i got to watch different plays from different productions like, trumpets, gantimpala, PETA, Kid's Act, i would always love the plays from Repertory Philippines... here are the list of the plays i've watched from Repertory: (in random)

1. Snowhite & the 7 Dwarfs (it was still in Shangrila Mall)
2. 40 Carats
3. Pinocchio (already moved to Onstage, Greenbelt, Makati)
4. I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change
5. Emperor's New Clothes
6. Taming of the Shrew
7. Beauty and the Beast
8. The Boor & the Proposal
9. Disney's Aladdin (their 1st Disney)
10. Love Labour's Lost
11. Disney's Cinderella
12. Fiddler on the Roof
13. Disney's Mulan
* Shakespeare's Plays not included (forgot the titles hehe)

Mulan Jr. really reaches the standard quality of a Repertory Philippines play, it may not be as colorful as Aladdin, but whoa the avalanche scene is the best... the actor who played "Musho" is really funny! it's for all ages... you'll love it

finally na post na din ni joy...anyway this was the birthday party of vien last July 5, 2008 at Autocamp Ortigas...

much awaited fab four reunion concert

it was my good friend glenn told me about the e-heads reunion concert which he also heard from somewhere without further information... anyway he gave the task to score tickets for the event cause he knew that i have a dear cousin who works in a advertising agency and i was one of the beneficiaries of free invites and tickets to various cool and hip events around the metro hehe...unfortunately i have been so busy and forgot all about it... the a while ago, i received a text from him, asking if ever we already have tickets na for the concert... the i realized... omg, i must be out of my mind... its eraserheads nga pala and definitely mahirap kumuha na ng tickets... am sure a lot of people are going so there's a chance wla nang ticket.. anyway so i paved my way to check on google where could i find the tickets for the event and kinda surprised with all of these things... whoa its FREE, well apparently you have to sign up for registration for marlboro red list, you must be 18+ and a smoker... its funny though, this is the first time i heard that smoking is an advantage... when everybody's telling you the quit, even the cigarette box has a warning... hehe so i sign up immediately... well you have to prove that you're 18+ so you have to send scan file of your valid id... which i did... i'll do anything just to watch the concert...

eraserheads... whew... their songs has been my companion during my high school to college days, i practically grew up with these songs... now it brings back all the precious, good,  sad and stupid  memories of my life:  when i used to sing "ligaya" and "toyang" for danny boy (my next door neighbor crush in cabanatuan); when me and my cousin claire (now in dubai) used to sing "shake yer head" on the top of our lungs under the camachile tree in gapan; "fine time" my brother marc's fave; "kailan" was the music used for the talent portion of my college crush when he enter a school pageant ewww(what was i thinking); the ever favorite barkada song "minsan"; the college adventures in "sembreak"; the late night guitar jamming with my sister mau when we always sing "with a smile" with endless of tududu tudududududu all night long and many other memories that would always be a part of who i am... that is eraserheads in my life... i've read or heard this before, that sometimes when you don't know what lies ahead of you, just look back... and you'll know... its so good to bring and walk down memory lane... brings smile to your face (hayyy senti na ito)

its kinda funny, there's even people who are fighting over this in the net. whether its morally right that the major sponsor is a tobacco company... what the f? get a grip guys, we've been waiting for this for 6 years... and aminin na natin pagkakataon na ng major sponsor na ipakilala ang produkto nya... hayaan natin cya... bakit kaya ba nating magbayad ng 40M para lang pagsamahin ulit ung apat?

i really hope matuloy ang reunion concert... hayyy penge ticket

dahil minsan tayo ay naging tunay na magkaibigan...

last night, i had a blast! never thought i actually enjoyed the concert! it was, as usual biglaan na nman... i was still at the zoo when my cousin jhun invited me to watch the concert... in which, it was only last night i heard that they were here! i was really hesitant to go cause am sure am gonna be late... it was already 8:30pm and am still at the zoo... anyway i haven't seen jhun and lorraine for a couple of weeks and i miss them! it was a great time of bonding, i realized so i hailed a taxi agad! good thing, i showed up cause they were so great, i had fun singing with these kids slamming their heads and screaming on the top of their lungs... i was carried away, sakit nga ng lalamunan ko... hehe anyway it was fun!

btw, thanks mhei for the FREE Patron Tickets!
