Fish and Co.

my brother marc and i savored my 1,000 pesos worth of fish & co. gift certificate from my boss. the food was superb, we ordered their pasta & shrimp salad, new york fish and chips, new england clam chowder, seafood rice & hot fudge for dessrt! but, budget constraints dictate that visits to that restaurant are for special ocassions only. the interior looks interesting and the crews are warm & attentive...

i have always wanted to try cpk cause i've been hearing a lot of good reviews, so i called my eat-out buddy cousin jhun to experience california... our first course was the salad! we love it! that's the best salad i had.. promise you have to try the "original bbq chicken chopped"... we love it so much that the plate was so clean when we finished.. hehe

The Original BBQ Chicken Chopped
Chopped lettuce, black beans, sweet corn, jicama, cilantro, basil, crispy tortilla strips and Monterey Jack cheese tossed together in our herb ranch dressing. Topped with chopped BBQ chicken breast, diced tomatoes and green onions. 485 • Half 325

the next course was the pasta... it was ok but didn't reach our expectations especially with our amazing experience with the salad.

Grilled Sausage and Pepper Penne
Penne with slices of grilled spicy Italian sausage, mild onions, red & yellow peppers and Parmesan cheese in marinara sauce. 495 • Half 295

the next is of course the pizza... since we loved the pizza in john & yoko in greenbelt 5, the one that has mango in it... we decided to try and find a similar pizza in the menu... at last we found the mango tandoori chicken pizza... it was good though, with an unexpected kick of flavor of the spicy golden curry sauce... but still the chicken teriyaki & mango pizza of john & yoko is still the number one in my list!

Mango Tandoori Chicken Pizza
Grilled Tandoori chicken, mango, mild onions, red peppers and Mozzarella cheese on a SPICY golden curry sauce. Topped with fresh cilantro and a sweet mango-chili sauce. 395

having a sweet tooth as we was, we always have room for desserts! and since i am an addict to cheesecakes, we ordered the strawberry cheesecake... it was heaven..

Strawberry Cheesecake
A creamy New York style, strawberry-filled cheesecake on Graham crust. Served with fresh whipped cream. 325

as a whole, the food experience was great, we had a great time... loved the ambiance, unfortunately  the crews are not as warm and as attentive that they should be...

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Classics
Starring Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Taraji P. Henson, Julia Ormond, Jason Flemyng, Elias Koteas, and Tilda Swinton

Directed by: David Fincher

“I was born under unusual circumstances.” And so begins The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man’s life can be. Benjamin Button is a grand tale of a not-so-ordinary man and the people and places he discovers along the way, the loves he finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time. (Paramount Pictures)

It is the first movie that I watched this new year, definitely all i could say was it was brilliantly made and brad pitt's performance is outstanding, his performance helps make "Benjamin Button" a timeless masterpiece.

it would take an excellent storyteller to get you hooked for almost three hours, it is classy, soul-filling and heartwarming.

There's no denying the film's power of compulsion and the sense that, when it's all over, it means something. Most viewers will be entertained and moved, and some will find their intellect aroused.

-watched it with my cousins jhun and mhei with her highschool friends at cinema 6 rockwell powerplant mall. (it was also my first time at rockwell! enjoyed it kahit na late ng konti sa movie)

my xmas & new year celebration!

well i celebrate my Christmas at the zoo, san pa ba... it's our peak season so may pasok ako...good thing we had a lot of guest...

our noche buena was simple... we had spaghetti, fruit & walnut salad, chicken sandwich, my favorite hot chocolate and black forest cake...we're supposed to celebrate christmas with the rest of the family in cavite but since i have work, they decided to celebrate it with me.. awww

for the new year celebration, definitely no firecrackers! we stopped the firecracker tradition for six years now... for the media noche, we had beef caldereta, rellenong bangus, pork liempo, chocolate cake, leche flan and of course hot chocolate.

after putukan, of course the suburban traditional party at kuya ding's place... too bad, wla na ang canyon... kulang na din kmi... most of the tropa nsa kanya kanyang gimik or nsa ibang bansa na.. (asus magsenti ba?) anyway, tradition is always a tradition so kahit kulang... we had our exchange gift! baby ko si joy, where i gave her a passport cover that she wants.. color purple.. swerte daw yan this year! baby ako ni marie tangkad.. got a jacket which end up sa kapatid kong c marc...hehehe and of course we had another round of joy's famous vodka cherry drink! we turned in about 4am...

happy new year guys!
